I`m in the process of building this thing up. Maybe for sale…maybe for myself (too small though)…maybe for Sayaka…not quite sure yet. What I am sure is that this is gonna be a really lovely build. This thing is soooo cool. It`s a Suntour National race team funny track bike from the late 70`s. It has never been ridden or even built up, so I almost feel kinda lucky to have the chance to build this up. The best part is the full Campagnolo discs I have  to throw on it as well. I`ll definitely keep repost the progress of this built as I decide what other part to put on it.

Obon is a very significant holiday in Japan where many people return to their families home (usually the place where they were born), and gather with other family members to welcome deceased ancestors back home to reunite with the family.

Although this is the tradition in Japan, it is also a much needed summer break for a lot of people. We are deciding to take a little early Obon holiday before the main holiday starting from August 9th until August 12th. So I just wanted to inform you that we will not be able to reply to e-mails or send orders until Friday the 12th.

But don`t worry we`ll be back and refreshed…maybe even a with a little bit of a sun tan (cause even we need a little holiday as well). So please don`t hesitate to e-mail with your questions still, just keep in mnd that I can`t get back to you until Friday the 12th.

Sayaka and I are having our wedding tomorrow here in Osaka, Japan. It`s been a crazy couple of weeks leading up to it, but I`m excited to celebrate with all of mine and Sayaka`s friends and family. I apologize for any delays in shipping items out this week as I`m sure most of you can understand how busy Sayaka and myself are preparing for our big day. Our shop will be closed this weekend so we can celebrate ourselves. So let me be the first to say…CHEERS!

Finally, I had a go with the vintage Nitto Tangaishi stem with some custom cut B201 risers. This was fitted on a customers Samson frame and worked out quite nicely. It was a  good mix of vintage keirin and new street style. He liked the choice of being able to completely reverse the stem and riser to make the handles sit a little higher than normal. All that put together with a nice trim off the bar ends (44cm to be exact) and some champ grips, made for a very nice handle bar setup.

Also, you may have noticed that recently our frame selection isn`t as large as it used to be. This is because we also have a shop in Osaka. Recently Japanese frames are very popular here in Japan and more often than not we sell the frames before we can get a chance to put them online. Either this, or they sell very shortly after we put them online. If there is something particular that you might be looking for, feel free to shoot an e-mail and I`ll try to help you as much as possible. Otherwise if you see something you like in the store, jump on it quick. It might be a great chance to own a great frame.

Track supermarket will be closed from Friday April 29, until Thursday May 5. In Japan, the first week of May is “Golden Week”, which is an almost week long public holiday. During this time, most government offices, banks and post offices are closed. Meaning that any parts that are ordered after Friday, will be shipped out on, or after, May 5th. Apologies for any delays in shipping, but please understand as this is a very good time in Japan. The weather is perfect and a much needed holiday is in order for everybody…hopefully with some BBQ`s. As for us…we will still be open in our Osaka store and will be replying to any e-mails or questions you have as normal.

Also in the spirit of Golden Week, I`m very happy to announce our new Metallico/ Gira Gira flat bar in Gold!!! We teamed up with Metallico for our original color way on the already popular flat bar. It will be available in all sizes 32cm, 35cm, and 38cm. So keep an eye out for it in the store.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have received a few e-mails asking about the Shimano “Zen” chainrings. Well, we just got a very very limited selection in stock today. We only have sizes 51T, 52T, 53T, 54T, and 55T. By limited, I mean only one or two of each.

Also just to let everyone know from now on when I am able to get these, only 54T and 55T will be available. Maybe the chance of having one of the rarest chain rings ever made might be running out.

Very very excited to release our own edition of the famous “Gold Finger” brake levers.  Branded with the shops name in a shortened version…”Giracha”. It`s the shops nickname. Plus it`s much easier than saying “Gira Gira Chariya”. This is an all Osaka collaboration and the first time you have been able to buy an all white “Gold Finger” brake lever.
